HexaScreen is an automated multiple bioreactor system, comprised of sterile minibioreactor plates and a work station, which enables screening studies at the level of a minibioreactor (10 - 15 mL) while providing bench-scale bioreactor features. The system allows non-invasive electrical measurements of temperature, dissolved oxygen and oxygen uptake rate, and optical measurements of pH and optical density. This on-line information facilitates scale-up.
