Two-phase pipette filter tips. The new double-layer filter tips, ep Dualfilter T.I.P.S., are the ideal solution for protecting pipettes and samples against unintentional and unnoticed contamination by aerosols and splashes. The first, white layer retains drops, splashes and larger aerosols, whereas the second, blue layer binds biomolecules.
Insufficient protection against aerosols during pipetting can lead to false-positive results, especially with PCR, and can adulterate cell cultures or media preparation. Contamination may also present a health risk when infectious samples are being processed.
